During times of natural calamities like floods and famines, Yogi Mahila Kendra volunteers have worked round-the-clock, to provide free meals, clothing, and medical supplies in the affected regions. In natural calamities YMK’ volunteers were the first to arrive and the last to leave.
During the flooding, the trust immediately prepared food packets and reach for the needy in more than 125 villages. In effect more than 2,00,000 food packets were distributed. With the assistance and guidance from the Collectors office, the trust also forwarded the medical services and other trained sisters in these villages giving free medical treatments and medicines for more than 10 days so as to see that no major outbreak of diseases in these villages should occur.
