Yogi Mahila Kendra had organized a shibir on Monday, the 26th December 2016 in Koli Bharthana village of Kamrej Taluka in Surat Zilla, as a part of their campaign for empowering women, in the presence of institution’s regional sadhvi sisters P. Sadhuramben, P. Sukanben and P. Shraddhaben in which, around 300 women from Koli Bharthana and its surrounding villages remained present.

While talking about her own life in the shibir, Dr. Mitaben Bavisi told the participants that, education is a must for women to empower them, though, as a doctor, I have a special status in the society, it is because my parents supported and encouraged me for my education. She also advised all the participants to make all the arrangements for right/best education and building the careers for their daughters instead of neglecting them.

Speaking next, P. Sadhuramben said that, knowing our own self-consciousness, we have to get prepared financially, socially and mentally for which, education and financial independence, both are equally necessary/important. And, for this, Yogi Mahila Kendra conducts many programs/schemes through which, along with education, the women can get their skills also developed/utilized for creating source of their own income and, she also asked the participants to canvass about these programs among other women too in the society for taking best advantage of these facilities.

On this occasion, to honour women’s power, all the 23 young girls present there were gifted with notebooks, pens, pencils and a packet of biscuit also to rouse their interest in studies in the presence of Koli Bharthana village’s sirpanch Smt. Jinalben and Dy. Sirpanch Smt. Sangeetaben.
