Clean India Campaign - 2017, Nadiad
When, the P.M. of India Sri Narendrabhai Modi has given a call of “Clean India Campaign” to bring an awareness of cleanliness in Indian citizens, the lady members of Yogi Mahila Kendra also had contributed their share in whatever little way they could and, under the “Clean India Campaign”, Yogi Mahila Kendra had done the cleaning of Indira Gandhi Upavan situated near the school No.2 on I.G. Marg in Nadiad on Thursday, the 12th Jan 2017 in which, around 40 ladies and girls from institution’s Nadiad division had joined.
While cleaning this garden, the ladies from Nadiad region of Yogi Mahila Kendra had also taken due care of environment and the natural properties there around. It is the joint responsibility of every citizen of the city to clean and maintain the Indira Gandhi Garden as it is the national property and hence, while doing this duty, this campaign was taken up to also develop a sense of cleanliness among the citizens of Nadiad city.
During this campaign, while cleaning the “Walk Way’ in the garden, the sisters had also removed the unwanted grass from there while picking up from there the unwanted things/rubbish like dry leaves, fallen tree branches and the plastic bags, empty water pouches, waste thermocol plastic dishes and bowls which came in the garden from the general road outside due to wind and disposed them of.
After this cleaning up project, the residents around the garden had highly thanked these sisters and said that, they will now feel like going to the garden for a walk and stroll.
On this occasion, along with the institution’s sisters from Nadiad division like Smt. Hemaben Brahmabhatt and Shobhanaben Patel, Sri Vijaybhai Patel (Mun. Councilor, Nadiad) and Jaybhai also were present.
