Clean India Campaign - 2017, Karjan
Under the ‘Clean India Campaign’, Yogi Mahila Kendra had, on Monday, the 16th January 2017 cleaned the general garden “Om Shanti Udyan” at Karjan village to give the message of awareness about cleanliness to the villagers in which, around 30 ladies and girls had participated.
When the P.M. of India, Sri Narendrabhai Modi has launched ‘Clean India Campaign’ at the national level, the ladies and the girls associated with Yogi Mahila Kendra had, through this cleanliness campaign, brought awareness in the general public.
The area of “Om Shanti Udyan” is regarded as the heart of the city where, the making calls by the vehicles and public is comparatively found more. Even after 7 decades of independence, the awareness about maintaining cleanliness in the public places is seen to be very less in the people and they are found to be spreading dirtiness there. To stop this and to develop the attitude of cleanliness in the citizens of Karjan village, Yogi Mahila Kendra had taken up this campaign.
The lady volunteers, other ladies and the girls from the institution had collected flowers, dry leaves and the grass, the broken and fallen dry branches of the trees etc. scattered in the garden along with the empty water pouches, wrappers of snacks etc. thrown by the visitors to the garden and had destroyed them harmlessly.
By watching this cleanliness campaign, the passersby and the citizens of Karjan city visiting the garden had highly and heartily appreciated the work of these women and they were inspired to stop creating the dirtiness in and around the public places.
