On Saturday, the 15th Aug 2015, Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada had organized for young girls a Rangoli Competition in 2 series at Avidha in which, 85 girls from Avidha village had participated and presented examples of their creative skills/arts by making very beautiful pictures/scenes in their rangoli .

Keeping in mind 15th August, the independence day of India, a rangoli competition in 2 series, for std. 2 to 8 and for std. 9 to 12 was organized at Avidha. This being a group event, it was decided to participate in the competition by making the teams of 5 students in each team in which, 50 girls of 10 teams in the 1st series and 35 girls of 7 teams in the 2nd series had participated.

The entire competition, the teams of the 1st series by Ms. Dipikaben Soni and Ms. Bhaminiben Patel while, the teams of the 2nd series were supervised by Ms. Dharmishthaben Rawat and Ms. Luisiaben Parmar, the lady teachers from the school from Avidha.

Every team had excellently and superbly exhibited their skills by making rangolis while participating in the competition and had made different rangolis like Natural Scenes, the designs of flowers like chameli- galgota, stars, peacocks and free-hand rangoli etc. and had decorated them with different colors too.

All were given the equal time. The main intension/purpose behind organizing this competition was to install and to develop in children the spirit of unity and of working with others.

At the end of the competition, the winner teams were awarded prizes while every other participant was awarded with inspirational books to encourage them .
