Prevention of Sunstroke - 2017, Khorvad
The sadhvi sisters P. Shreyasben, P. Sulabhben, P. Shivamben, P. Santsevakben and P. Suhradamben from Yogi Mahila Kendra had, along with their lady volunteers, personally visited Khorvad village deeply situated in Ode Tal. of Anand Dist. on Sunday, the 16th April 2017 and had guided around 50 ladies to save themselves from the sunstroke while also giving them the glucose packets free of cost.
Many a times, the people fall sick due to sunstroke of scorching heat during summer and, the ladies working in the farms and the children playing in the open grounds during this periods are the easy victims moreover, due to dehydration during the unbearable heat, people fall sick due to its adverse effect on the proper functioning of their delicate organs like kidney, liver and brain and, one can even die also if he does not get glucose water and proper medical treatment in time.
Keeping all these points in mind, the sisters of Yogi Mahila Kendra had given detailed information about reasons of getting sunstroke, its symptoms and its primary/basic treatments to the village women. The sadhvi sisters from the institution had met nearly 50 women in different places of the village and made them aware about the sunstroke while also distributing pamphlets regarding the same along with the packets of glucose free of cost.
Considering this activity by the sisters of Yogi Mahila Kendra as very timely, the village women had admired it whole heartedly and thankfully.
