Clean India Campaign - 2017, Padra
A cleanliness campaign was organized at Padra on Saturday, the 28th January 2017 during which, around 35 ladies had cleaned the public roads around Fulbaug Jakat Naka and Gramyalaxmi Complex and had spread the message of cleanliness in entire Padra village.
It is the duty of every citizen to maintain cleanliness at public places and, to develop this awareness among people, the P.M. of India Sri Narendrabhai Modi has started a campaign “Clean India”. To widely popularize it and, so that the people start maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings, Yogi Mahila Kendra had cleaned the public roads.
During this campaign, the ladies had cleaned the outside roads around shops and shopping complex and ground by removing dust and rubbish from there and had also collected the empty packets of snacks empty pouches of water, waste papers, covers/wrappers of pan/gutka, the ends of bidi/cigarettes etc. thrown carelessly on roads by the public around.
While highly appreciating this activity of social service by these ladies, the president of Padra Mun. Corp., Sri Pareshbhai Gandhi had also appealed to the shopkeepers and the citizens of Padra to maintain cleanliness around.
The elderly lady volunteers like Indiraben, Ansuyaben and Urvashiben from Yogi Mahila Kendra had also joined in this cleanliness campaign.
