On account of “World Women Day” Yogi Mahila Kendra had organized on Tuesday, the 8th March 2016 a shibir on “Women Self-Consciousness” in the Sattargam Patel Society at Dabhoi in the presence of saint sisters P. Smitben and P. Sukhchenben in which, around 165 ladies had participated.

All the dignitaries like Kalpanaben Patel (Dir. Guj. State Women Protection Comm. and Zilla Vice President.), Bhavnaben Bhatt (Ex Vice Pres.Dabhoi Nagarpalika), Daxaben (Mahila Morcha, Dabhoi Tal. Pres.), Naynaben Tadvi (Corp., Dabhoi), Harshaben Chouhan (Corp., Dabhoi), Vilasben Patel, Devilaben Parekh (Ex. Head Nurse, Govt. Ref. Hosp.) who were present there were welcomed with garlands by the Dabhoi Mahila Mandal.

Then, while speaking in the shibir, Smt. Vidyaben Tadvi had given the examples of queen of Zansi State, Rani Laxmibai and the lady devotees during the time of Lord Swaminarayan Jivuba and Laduba and said that, the success itself will come to you on your way of its own, if you have the combination of bravery and culture in your life.

Khyatiben (Lingsthali) said in her humorous style that, otherwise also, all the married women must be considered to be brave because, they dare to go to their in-law’s home quite alone with the bridegroom who comes for marriage with at least 50 to 100 other people in his party, while advising all to always wear the ornaments like politeness and bashfulness.

While talking about the success achieved on the basis of own firm determination and hard work by Vadodara Dist.’s collector Avantika Singh and Guj.’s C.M. Smt. Anandiben Patel, lady Corporater Harshaben Chouhan said that, for achieving anything in the life, at least these two qualities are needed.

While declaring the guidance and the inspiration received from the sadhvi sisters of Yogi Mahila Kendra as the basis and the instrument/main cause for the success and the achievement in her career, the lady corporater Nayanaben said that, in the presently existing male dominated society, there is nothing impossible for women if they decide to work in cooperation and with atmiyata with each-other.

Then, while speaking, Kalpanaben Patel (Dir. Guj. State Women Protection Comm. and Zilla Vice President) said that, today’s day is important for all of us in 2 ways, first, that we all are celebrating our own day i.e. World Women Day which dignifies the strength/power of women and second, we all are sitting with/among the bhagavadi saint sisters and hence we all are the luckiest ones as it has created the combination of devotion and power here. The guidance, love and the warmth that I have receive from the saintly sisters of Yogi Mahila Kendra till today is the only cause, reason and instrument behind my getting all the successes and achievements in my life so far and in my career in politics for the last 20 years. If we develop depth in our life, we can do anything we desire in life, can drive from plough to helicopter. Simultaneously, she also informed about the various welfare schemes announced by the Govt. for ladies and girls.

Then, while speaking, Bhavnaben Bhatt (Ex Vice Pre.) described different roles of women and said that, the women who acts as a loving mother, a sweet heart/wife or a sister, can also at once become, as and when required, a warrior too. Talking about Yogi Mahila Kendra, she said that, this is an institution where, along with several diversified activities of helping the sisters, even the cultivation and development of high/good/positive culture in them is also done with the equal importance which gives them the self-confidence and the proficiency resulting in their progress in every field in the society.

Then, P. Swikarben explained an entirely a different definition of a woman from its historic point of view and analyzed the activity of Women Upliftment conducted by Yogi Mahila Kendra. Then she introduced some of the lady gems from Bhaktiashram, Haridham and described their activities for the woman upliftment.

In the end of the shibir, P. Smitben said that, 200 year back from now, the ladies had absolutely no place, value, importance, recognition or respect in the society. There were customs/systems of killing the newly born girl child and of becoming the sati (dying/burning alive on the funeral pile/pyre of the dead husband) at that time in the society. Lord Swaminarayan stopped all such systems and got the women in the society their due place/respect and He Has done a lot of admirable and positive work for women for their progress in the society through 300 Sankhyayogi women even in such a orthodox period. Even today also, in such a Kaliyug, 224 women coming from 36 different castes, are living together with respect and love for each other and are working for the upliftment of other women in the society and are guiding them to develop atmiyata in their families. While looking after home, family, husband and the children is the responsibility of a woman, to see that, the atmosphere of Atmiyata and mutual love and affection also is maintained in the family, is even her bigger responsibility at the same time.

While women had learnt so many new things in this shibir, they had also learnt to contribute their share of responsibility towards the society, while looking after their own home and family and serving them too in the life.
