Women's Day - 2016, Karjan
Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada had celebrated “World Women Day” at Karjan on Tuesday, the 8th March 2016 in the presence of regional saint sisters P. Saurabhben and P. Sulabhben in which, around 75 women had participated.
In her address, P. Sulabhben said that, the Indian culture has given due importance to the women and regarded them as a form of Power. The place/status/position of women in the formation of Indian Society is of utmost importance. They bear the most important responsibility of uniting the entire family in a single string and developing culture in all the members by acting in the roles of a mother, a sister, a daughter and a wife. But, now a days, in the time of media, she has been considered/used merely as an instrument of joy and pleasure only, for which, she herself seems to be responsible somewhere directly or indirectly up to some extent. In order to face/treat/get rid of this situation, the woman herself only will have to develop her own glory/self-respect and an extra image and also will have to teach her children to duly respect women as her responsibility as a mother then only she will be able to secure and maintain/re-establish her lost glory/respect in the society. Every woman will have to go ahead with equal cooperation of each-other in this matter.
The regional saint sister P. Saurabhben gave an example of the lady C.M. of Gujarat, Anandiben Patel and said that, a lady can reach up to any stage if she firmly resolves to do so as this C.M. did in her life and rose up to such a high post from that of an ordinary teacher to that of a C.M.. Then, presenting a picture of various useful activities repeatedly done and the workshops organized by Yogi Mahila Kendra at different places in the society for the upliftment through self-help of backward women, she advised all the participant ladies present there to attend such classes/workshops and take their advantage to learn the different home industries to create source of income for themselves and also to be helpful to their families.
Through the medium of this program, the ladies not only learned to progress in their life but, also got an inspiration to work with cooperation of each-other.
