On account of World Women’s Day, Yogi Mahila Kendra had organized its celebration on Thursday, the 3rd March 2016 at Atmiya Farm, Ved Road, Surat in the presence of institution’s sadhvi sisters P. Sarveshwarben, P. Saralben and other elderly sisters in which, nearly 200 ladies from different areas of Surat had participated.

In the beginning, talking on the history of this day, Smt. Bhavnaben (Udhana Mandal) said that, this day is celebrated so that the ladies in the society unite and cooperate with each other. Narrating different social services by Yogi Mahila Kendra, she said that, the main and sole intention behind them is to empower women in the society. Talking about different schemes run by the Govt. of India and Gujarat, she called upon all the ladies present there to popularize them among other ladies so that, they also can take best advantage of the same.

Talking next, Smt. Bharatiben (Rander Mandal) mentioned that, Yogi Mahila Kendra always remains ready to help/assist ladies through its various social service activities and their main mission is to make the women self-reliant and developing good/right culture in them and she advised all the ladies present there to always keep good company and be helpful to each-other.

Then, all the ladies gave reports about activities conducted in their areas by the institution for empowerment of women and discussed in detail, for improvement in them.

Then, explaining the aim of celebrating this day, P. Sarveshwarben said in her address that, it is to show the ladies their own self-consciousness and to enable them to secure their right place in the society. She advised them to establish their own right image in the society by sticking rightly to Indian Culture by avoiding to blindly follow TV-Movies and, saying that, the society has been divided into two today, one engaged in running after lust and worldly enjoyments while, the other living life with peace and love by following right/good culture, she asked all to decide/choose as to which way they wanted to go?. Reminding all about their greatest responsibility of training their children rightly to make them the participants in building our nation great, advised all to give them the right culture. Thus, she showed all ladies their right consciousness and importance in the society.

Then all the ladies had participated in various games and the ladies from different areas had discussed the ways and means to expedite the activities of women upliftment in their areas.
