According to the age old proverb “Health is Wealth”, the entire world accepts and agrees today that, India’s invaluable gift of knowledge about yagas and pranayams is very important and unavoidable in our life if we really want to keep ourselves, our mind and our body healthy and fit in today’s fast running life/world. United Nations Organization (UNO) has declared 21st June as International Yoga Day. The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi is doing gigantic efforts to bring awareness about this in the general public. Even the ladies are also making their best efforts to contribute their share in this celebration and, such a contribution was made by Yogi Mahila Kendra on Wednesday, the 17th June 2015 by organizing a yoga shibir at Yogidham, Rajkot in which, 61 women had participated.

Sadhvi P. Subodhben and sadhvi P. Stavanben also attended the shibir. P. Subodhben is an ideal example of followers of yogas who regularly does walking and yogasans who masterly explained the value and importance of yoga to the attendants. She gave an example of Guruhari P.P. Hariprasadswamiji who was affected by diabetes and said that, He had cured this simply by regular walking, exercise and yogasans in His life and declared that yogasans do work even on incurable diseases too.

P. Samarpanben (Dr. Varshaben Kamdar) explained in detail to the audience, the effect of 5 types of pranayams on our body and showed their benefits. Dr. Ruchiben Vasavada who has got her training in yogas from SVYASA, Bengalore also practically demonstrated all the 12 steps separately doing suryanamaskars and also showed how to keep/maintain the rhythm of our breathing during this process.

Thus, all the participant ladies in this program received here very valuable training of basic yogas and decided to practise them in their life then onwards only.
