Tailoring Class - 2017, Nasvadi
Yogi Mahila Kendra had organized a Tailoring Workshop on Tuesday, the 30th May 2017 in Nasvadi village in the presence of institution’s sadhvi sisters P. Sthitpragnaben, P. Shraddheyben and the experienced lady for tailoring work Poonamben who had trained 25 participant ladies for cutting and stitching with practical demonstrations.
The profession of tailoring includes the works like cutting the cloth in proper size and shape, tailoring it for different dresses and making buttonholes-buttons in them, the corners of sarees and their end falls etc. which call for little skill too but, it does provide a source of income also for who can do it.
Keeping all these facts in mind, Yogi Mahila Kendra had made an effort to train needy ladies at Nasvadi in this profession to make them able to create a source of income for themselves through it.
In this workshop, the sadhvi sisters and Poonamben had first trained participants for cutting for making different clothes by taking proper measurements and to teach this practically to them, they had also cut the papers and shown how to do all these things so that, they also could grasp it rightly and then, even the training for stitching the clothes also was practically shown.
While thanking the sadhvi sisters and other ladies from Yogi Mahila Kendra for organizing this important workshop, the married women said that, they would now be able to create some additional income for their families to live with self-respect and run the families smoothly to bring up children in a better way while, the unmarried girls said that, by learning this profession here, we will now be able to help our parents and save money for our own marriages too.
