Yogi Mahila Kendra had, under the Women Empowerment Campaign, organized a meeting for women in the presence of regional sadhvi sisters P. Smitben, P. Suyogben, P. Swikarben and the lady volunteers on Tuesday, the 24th January 2017 in Thakor Faliya (ground) in Shirola village of Dabhoi Tal. in Vadodara in which, around 300 ladies had taken the benefit of guidance from lady volunteers and sadhvi sisters.

Yogi Mahila Kendra was the first institution which had made any effort for awakening the women in Shirola village of Dabhoi Tal., which was highly praised by the lady leaders and the women from the village remaining present therein in a very big number as, the local women had put their first step towards progress.

Describing a few related incidents, sadhvi sister P. Swikarben had encouraged the ladies there to use the constructed w.c. instead of going in the open grounds, keep their surroundings neat & clean and had asked them to maintain love, harmony and cooperation in their families, it being their duty, providing necessary guidance also for the same.

Shushilaben, who came from Lingasthali, herself talked of the positive changes that had come in her life after her coming in contact with the sisters from Yogi Mahila Kendra and asked all the ladies present there to try to live a peaceful and happy life with the advantage of guidance and advises from them.

Renukaben (Ahaladpura) had described a number of social activities regularly conducted by Yogi Mahila Kendra to make the women self-reliant and asked them all to take advantage/benefit of such activities to be self-reliant and to be able to help own families to bring its standard of life higher.

Speaking next, Devyaniben narrated the changes that came in her life after her attending the regular satsang meetings held at Dabhoi by the volunteers of Yogi Mahila Kendra and said that, due to the pride of her youth and higher education, formerly she possessed very short temper and got angry very soon even with her own parents too but, after coming in contact with the sadhvi sisters and the volunteers of Yogi Mahila Kendra and, after observing their actions and behaviors, she had realized her weaknesses and drawbacks and trying gradually to give them up, she tried to develop qualities like patience, forbearance etc. which taught her to be stable in all kinds of situations.

While addressing the ladies present there, the regional sadhvi P. Smitben said that, we all are fully aware of the misbeliefs and bad practices prevailing in the society which need to be removed as they all are totally bogus, useless and harmful but, we can’t do that as, we all are afraid of society. Only by uniting, we all can bring these positive changes acceptable to the society. Citing examples, she said that, we only can achieve our own progress for which, she gave an example of Pujaben from Shirola village.
