In the presence of commissioner of Vadodara Mahanagarpalika Shri H.S. Patel Sir, Mayor Shri Bharatbhai Dangar Sir and the chairman of standing committee Smt. Jigishaben and the other dignitaries, an appreciation letter was awarded to “Yogi Mahila Kendra” and was honored on Tuesday, the 8th March 2016 for its sincere and respectable great work of Women Upliftment in the society in entire India. On this occasion, around 1300 citizens including a number of leading and renowned/respectable persons from political and social fields of Vododara were present.
Since the last 38 years, under the chairmanship of Yogi Mahila Kendra’s leader sadhvi sister P. Suhradben, (P. Premben), the institution is organizing/conducting/carrying out a number of multi-dimensional programs/activities of women upliftment everywhere in the country as well as in foreign countries through its volunteers. The institution is always busy in organizing valuable, most important and much needed programs right from developing self confidence in women to making them financially independent by guiding them to create their own sources of incomes through the classes of Self-Help. Along with developing self-consciousness in them, the workshops/classes for Yoga, Medical Check-up camps and health care for them are also organized regularly and periodically at various places under the guidance/supervision of concerned experts in the fields. It also performs its duty and executes its responsibility by duly contributing its share in protecting the environment, cleanliness campaigns and similar other activities of social welfare. It has never looked back while working in the society at the times of floods, earthquakes and the famines to help the nation.
Considering all the above facts, the Vadodara Mahanagarpalika had, along with other social service institutions, honored “Yogi Mahila Kendra “ also, on the “World Women Day”, the 8th March. For giving its specific contribution in the social activities and the women upliftment work, this award/letter was given to the institution’s leader P. Premben. On 8th March 2016 P. Premben was since abroad on her social-cum-religious service tour, on behalf of her and giving services in her place, sadhvi sister P. Suyoginben had received/accepted this letter from Vadodara Standing Committee’s Chairman Smt. Jigishaben which was enthusiastically welcomed by loudly applauding by Vadodara City’s all the leading persons and the well-known/renowned dignitaries along with all the other citizens present there for honoring Yogi Divine Society’s social services.
