On account of “World Women’s Day”, Yogi Mahila Kendra had, with the help from Solas Hospital, organized a health check-up program/camp from 8th March to 31st March in Solas Hospital for the ladies from poor families in which, the consultations with physicians and gynecologists and services of reports for x-rays and ECG were done at a very nominal rates for which, the required cards were distributed in different areas of Vadodara by the institution’s sisters and lady volunteers on 7/3/2016.

The ladies from poor families and with lower income group can’t afford to go for frequent medical check-ups due to which, sometimes, their diseases like TB, Asthma, Heart Disease and those related to uterus etc. get advanced when their treatments become difficult and expensive too.

Keeping all these facts in mind, on account of “World Women’s Day” (8th March), Yogi Mahila Kendra had organized, with the help and assistance from Solas Hospital, a camp from 8th March to 31st March for developing awareness about their health among women from Vadodara and its surrounding areas for which, the institution’s sisters and lady volunteers had distributed required cards for medical check-ups at nominal rates. With these cards, the check-up/diagnosis of diseases like blood pressure, ECG, Pap Smear test, thyroid, X-ray etc. could be done from expert doctors and gynecologists at concessional rates of Rs.299/- only between 8.00 am & 1.00 pm on the above days.

While distributing these cards in various parts of Vadodara city, many ladies from poor families said that, although, they were suffering from many such diseases since long but, due to various reasons like shortage of funds, poor family income and responsibility of education of children etc., they could not afford heavy charges of medical tests like these which they will be able to now do and, that too, with renowned doctors of famous hospital for which, they highly and heartily thanked Yogi Mahila Kendra for arranging this facility for them.
