Republic Day Celebration - 2017, Gandevi
The occasion of 68th Republic Day of India was celebrated on 26th January 2017 in the primary school No. 2 situated in Vashi Fadiya at Gandevi by the sisters of Yogi Divine Society along with invitee guests and the school’s principal, teachers and the students of the School with 80 others by arranging a Flag-salutation to express their patriotism.
As per Guj. Govt.’s letter under the “Beti Bachao...... Beti Padhao” scheme, the flag-salutation was done at the hands of a girl in the school’s ground at 8.00 am early in the morning which was joined by all others by singing the national song.
Then, as part of the program organized to promote and encourage the “Beti Bachao..... Beti Padhao” scheme, those ladies who had only one girl as her children, were honored in the public by awarding them a letter of honor and a flower at the hands of school’s principal and the lady teachers and, their decisions for growing/bringing up and training the daughters was appreciated.
Totally 80 persons including the school’s principal, teachers, students and the volunteers and sisters from Yogi Mahila Kendra had participated in this program.
