A program for celebrating the 68th Republic Day of India was organized on 26th January 2017 in Samarpan Vidyalaya in Jambusar Village by saluting the national flag in which, the school’s principal, staff teachers and more than 200 students along with 50 of elderly women volunteers, ladies and girls from Yogi Mahila Kendra were present.

In this program organized early in the morning at 7.30 am, Smt. Laxmiben Makwana had released the flag from the 1st of the school complex. All the ladies and gents present there had saluted the flag while singing the national song and then, the entire surrounding atmosphere was filled by shouting the slogans like “Vande... Mataram...”, “Bharat mata ki jay...” and “Azadi amar raho..” to express patriotism.

This was followed by presentation of cultural program in front of staff teachers, employees, students of the school, the invitee guests Sri Maheshbhai V. Patel (Trustee, Samarpan Vidyalay), Smt. Laxmiben Makwana (wife of Ex MLA) and the lady volunteers of Yogi Mahila Kendra Smt. Shardaben, Smt. Madhuben The students of the school had made the program very interesting and enjoyable by presenting dances, speeches and the songs of patriotism.

In her occasional speech, the principal of the school Smt. Raginiben Patel, narrating various incidents, explained to the students that, we should study attentively and by securing good marks make the best career in our life to be able to serve our family, society and the nation.

Speaking next, the volunteer from Yogi Mahila Kendra Smt. Dhanuben Gandhi talked of republic day and said that, if every citizen of the nation gives up/forgets the limitations/boundaries of castes and creeds to work with Atmiyata for the progress of the nation, it can become a republic in real sense of the term.

While speaking at the end of the program, Sri Maheshbhai V. Patel said that, today is said to be the national festival because, on this day, the Indian Constitution came into effect and, India was declared a sovereign nation. On this occasion, the real son of Gujarat and the hero of the nation, an iron man Sri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had united all the small states into one/united India and had played a decisive role in creating/establishing united India.

Once again shouting the victory, all proceeded to their destinations in the end of the program.
