Women's Day - 2016, Pansar
Following the “World Women’s Day” (8th March), Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada had organized on Sunday, the 6th March 2016 a shibir (Camp) for womens at Panasar under this Women Upliftment Campaign, around 200 women had participated.
This area of Narmada Dist. inhabits mostly the backward and adivasi population. Because of inadequate spread of proper/required education in such remote/backward village areas, even today also, the people here are the victims of lust, addiction and false beliefs and due to their blind faiths and illiteracy, they easily fall prey to diseases, poverty and unemployment as a result of which, they face many problems.
At all, if the women of these areas are provided only a few of their basic requirements and a little education, they can lead their families on real and proper path of life and, as result of this, a concrete beginning in the direction of true social reform can be brought about. And, only with such a noble aim and intention, this seminar was organized. The sadhvi sister P. Sauhardben from Yogi Mahila Kendra had informed and convinced about value and the importance of education to the women there and had prompted them to provide it to their children while guiding them to live a real social life by giving up their false beliefs, addictions and wrong/bad /bogus customs.
The thoughts and ideas were exchanged in the 2nd session of this camp for making the women here self -reliant, independent and for their all-round upliftment. They were also guided to be helpful to their families by generating their own income from home industries. From the fact/figures/information collected by P. Sauhardben as a result of her talks with these women, she had promised them to periodically arrange here the free training classes/workshops for them to teach them the art of earthen work, embroidery/knitting and other home industries and by meeting their group leaders, she had also planned to train them for these through the experts in these fields.
As a result of this shibir, an entirely a new kind of enthusiasm and zeal was generated in all the women attending it and as a result of the warmth and love received by them from the sadhvi sisters and the workers of Yogi Mahila Kendra, they all had resolved to live their life with full self-confidence then onwards only.
