As a part of its various regular social service activities, Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada had, on Saturday, 5/9/2015 organized between 1.00 pm & 3.00 pm in the afternoon a program of free tailoring classes for ladies/women at Padra in which, 30 women participated and acquired the basic and practical knowledge—training in cutting, stitching, hole-buttons making etc. connected with tailoring.

As a part of creative skill, the ladies were taught how to do the works of end-falls of sarees with sewing machine and making/tailoring skirts—petticoats etc. along with making holes-buttons and embroidery by hand sewing for which, P. Shukmuniben and P. Samthalben both from Yogi Mahila Kendra remained present and gave practical demonstration. 

Although, the trend for using the readymade clothes has greatly increased in the present day time, the tailor made clothes have still maintained their charm/favor and, the clothes like sarees, petticoats and the blouse of ladies from Gujarati community are mostly preferred to be specially made by tailors exactly as per their perfect measurements. Under these circumstances, when the sisters of Yogi Mahila Kendra were proud to be an instrument/lucky to get a chance/an opportunity to create an additional source of income for needy women, those, who got the benefit from this class also, whole heartedly thanked the saint sisters and the workers of the institution.
