Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada had, on account of “World AIDS Day”, the 1st Dec, organized a seminar at Kotana (Tal. Padara, Dist. Vadodara) in the presence of regional sadhvis P. Shukmuniben, P. Suhasben, P. Savaniyaben, P. Sarvatitben and P. Sadhushilpben to develop an awareness about this disease among ladies in the society in which, around 300 ladies from Kotana and Padara Dist.s had participated.

When the curse of self-willed modernization has crossed all its limits, the preservation of our culture and reestablishment of women’s self-consciousness have become absolutely inevitable through Woman Empowerment. As a part of this campaign and with an intention of making all-round development of women and making them conscious about their own personal as well as their family members’ health, this seminar was organized.

Kum. Vandanaben Gandhi had, in this seminar organized in a Farm House situated near Kotana village in the presence of sadhvi sisters and the regional workers of Yogi Mahila Kendra, informed as to when this disease was first detected in India, how does it spread as well as the misconception prevailing in the society about it etc. and also that, even a patient infected by H.I.V. can live quite a normal life with the help of present medical science and advised all to give a social warmth to a patient of aids to save him from getting totally frustrated.

The sadhvi sisters present there had guided the participant ladies to live a controlled and cultured life informing that they have an important role to play in preserving the Indian values by saying that, a single mother can replace a hundred teachers and advised to teach their children the lessons of courtesy and discretion with respect for ladies and for respecting them.

While thanking the sadhvi sisters of Yogi Mahila Kendra and the lady workers for providing them such a useful information for their good health, the participating ladies had requested to repeatedly organize such other seminars also.
