World AIDS Day - 2016, Valsad
Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada had, on account of “World AIDS Day”, the 1st Dec, organized a seminar in a Hall situated on Tithal Road in Valsad on Monday, the 12th Dec 2016 in which, around 37 ladies from the surrounding areas had participated who were provided detailed information about aids by Dr. Divyaben Patel.
The lady Dr. Divyaben Patel from Valsad informed ladies present in the shibir as to how do we get infected for H.I.V. and that, as a result of it, our power to fight against other diseases gradually goes on reducing resulting in our inability to fight against other diseases bringing death for us. The H.I.V. virus enters our body through unprotected sex, exchange of blood, to a child in the womb from her mother or through an infected injection syringe/needle and advised to be very careful during all such procedures.
After entering our body, the H.I.V. virus remains in a silent/sleeping position there for a period of 6 months to 6 to 12 years but keeps making it hollow/empty for which, no medicine is available as yet. But, with the help of present/latest treatments, we can control the increase/spread of the virus and keep back the aids so, to save a patient from his frustration, we should give him the real knowledge of aids and prepare him to face the same with courage.
While welcoming and highly appreciating this efforts by Yogi Mahila Kendra, the participating ladies accepted that, till today, they never received such knowledge/information from anywhere due to which, many of them had been victims of aids and resolved to spread the same in the society for other ladies.
