Clean India Campaign - 2017, Nani Khergam
Under the ‘Clean India Campaign’, the sisters and the girls from Yogi Mahila Kendra had cleaned the Khergam village in Gandevi Tal. of Navsari Zilla on Saturday, the 21st January 2017 to give the message of cleanliness to the villagers there. Around 40 ladies and girls had participated in this campaign under the leadership of regional sadhvi sisters P. Saujanyaben, P. Samdarshiben, P. Samarthben and the lady volunteers Binaben and Chanchalben.
According to the saying “Janani janmabhoomisya swargadapi garishyati.....”, when, the birth place has been given more importance than even the heaven, due to carelessness about the health and cleanliness among the people in India, the heaps of dirt/rubbish are found to be there around in cities and the villages alike. To get rid of this situation, the P.M. of India, Sri Narendrabhai Modi has started a campaign “Clean India Campaign” nationwide and, to support and spread the same widely in the society, Yogi Mahila Kendra had taken up this campaign.
Under the leadership of sadhvi sisters and the lady volunteers from Nani Khergam institution, around 40 ladies had removed the dry leaves and the branches of trees, the animal dung, empty plastic bags and the rubbish from the public roads there and thus, had given the message of cleanliness to the villagers.
While thanking sadhvi sisters and ladies from Yogi Mahila Kendra joining in this cleaning campaign, the Sirpanch of Nani Khergam, Bhaviniben said that, though, the sisters of this institution are doing several social services in this area but, today’s activity/service is worth accepting and following by all, right from a child to elderly persons, to cooperate in keeping our village clean & we all are thankful to them for it.
