Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada had organized on Sunday, the 7th Feb 2016 at Mahalaxmi Party Plot, Manjalpur, Vadodara, a Cooking Competition among the 8 teams of ladies staying in different parts of Vadodara. Around 50 ladies and the girls had participated in the contest who had prepared different items and the same was watched by at least 450 citizens fond of variety of new tastes. The competition was inaugurated at the hands of P. Premben from Yogi Mahila Kendra and the winners were awarded prizes at the hands of P. Sarveshwarben to encourage the spirit of the participants.

The Gujaratis are known as the tourist people in the world and, wherever they go in the world, they quickly and easily accept the regional new varieties of eatable items. And therefore, the common housewives are generally found to be under one common tension as to what new to serve to the family members everyday who are very fond of eating newer items and, if all the joint family members go to hotels frequently, their financial family budget gets totally disturbed due to the present dearness and in addition to this, even the items/ingredients used in the hotels can also not be taken as pure and of suitable standard or they are of the qualities endangering our health. Under all these circumstances, Yogi Mahila Kendra had organized this competition so that the ladies and the girls could see and learn here how to prepare the Indian as well as the foreign food items at home at affordable rates/costs.

In this competition at the Mahalaxmi Party Plot, in all, 10 stalls were opened out of which, 2 stalls were kept for the games while at the remaining 8 stalls, the participants from the various parts of Vadodara had exhibited their eatable items.
