Clean India Campaign - 2017, Goregaon, Mumbai
To celebrate the 68th republic day of India in a most memorable way, the ladies and the girls had, under the joint guidance from lady volunteers of Yogi Mahila Kendra and Jay Charities, advertised the motto, “Cleanliness only is the real patriotism” by cleaning the public road around “Atmiyadham”, Goregaon (West) on Thursday, the 26th January 2017 in which around 25 ladies had participated.
Mumbai, being considered to be the financial capital of India, the people from all over the country come to stay here for earning their livelihood which increases the congestion of people there day by day resulting in increase of pollution in air and water along with dirtiness there. Under the circumstances, Yogi Mahila Kendra had, to spread the awareness about cleanliness among the people and to stop them from making their surrounding dirty, undertaken this cleanliness campaign.
Cleaning the public roads surrounding the ‘Atmiyadham’ Goregaon (West) area and the premises around other adjoining hutments on account of 68th republic day, the ladies had also explained the people staying in the surrounding area that, the cleanliness itself also is a part of patriotism by giving them the message of maintaining cleanliness.
