World AIDS Day - 2016, Asoj
Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada had, on account of “World AIDS Day”, the 1st Dec, organized a seminar in Vinay Vidya Mandir, Asoj on Sunday, the 25th Dec 2016 to spread the information about AIDS among the ladies from Asoj and its surrounding villages in which, around 175 ladies had participated where, Vadodara’s lady Volunteer Smt. Dipmalaben Parmar associated with Yogi Mahila Kendra had guided the participants.
World Health Organization celebrates 1st December as the “World AIDS Day” in the entire world.
With an idea that, if the ladies from Asoj and its surrounding villages are awakened about their health, they can also alert all the other members of their families for their health too, Yogi Mahila Kendra had organized this shibir.
Smt. Dipmalaben Prmar, associated with Yogi Mahila Kendra informed ladies present in the shibir as to how do we get infected for H.I.V. and that, as a result of it, our power to fight against other diseases gradually goes on reducing resulting in our inability to fight against other diseases bringing death for us. After entering our body, the H.I.V. virus remains in a silent/sleeping position there for a period of 6 months to 6 to 12 years which is called the window period and it is the most dangerous period for the spread of AIDS as, even the patient, the infected person himself, can’t know that he is infected by AIDS and hence, he can also infect the other persons too and alerted to be cautious. She said that, since there is no 100 % effective medicine or the treatment available for AIDS at present, “alertness/precaution only is the best safety”.
While speaking on this occasion, the sadhvi sister from Yogi Mahila Kendra P. Sulabhben advised all the ladies present there to live their life in accordance with the principles shown in the Indian Scriptures.
