World AIDS Day - 2016, Naroda, Ahmedabad
World Health Organization celebrates 1st December as the “World AIDS Day” in the entire world. Ahmedabad is a developed Metro City with maximum population in Gujarat where the people come from entire country to work in the factories to earn their livelihood. Keeping this fact in mind and that, if the ladies from this areas are given sufficient and proper knowledge about AIDS and if they spread it in their families and among others in the streets, Yogi Mahila Kendra had arranged this shibir in Vallabhkunj Society, Naroda on Sunday, the 25th Dec 2016 between 3.00 pm & 4.00 pm to spread the information about AIDS among the ladies in which, around 50 ladies from Naroda area had participated.
Addressing the attendants in the shibir, lady doctor Dr. Dipalben Patel had, with help of a presentation, informed about AIDS and shown with pictures as to, how do we get infected by the virus of H.I.V. which can enter in to our body in 4 ways but not by eating with its patients, while embracing them or due to biting by the mosquitos and advised not believe the rumours. She said that, though, the 100 % treatment for AIDS is not available at present, with the regular use of medicines like Anti Retro Virul we can prevent the spread of H.I.V. virus in our body and can live a normal and healthy life for a long period. In the end of the shibir, she advised all to be alert as per the slogan “alertness is the safety” and said that, when the W.H.O. has decided to make the world free of AIDS by 2030, we should spread these information more and more people in the society.
While welcoming and appreciating these efforts by Yogi Mahila Kendra with thanks, all the participants had promised to spread these information to the maximum people in the society.
