Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada and Jay Charities, Kandivali (East), Mumbai had, on account of “World AIDS Day”, the 1st Dec, jointly organized a seminar in Atmiya Welfare and Cultural Center, Kandivali (East) Mumbai on Saturday, the 17th Dec 2016 in which, more than 500 ladies from different areas of Mumbai had participated who were provided detailed information about AIDS to spread the awareness about this disease among them in this seminar in which, P. Sarvamangalben, P.Sukhvinben, P. Sarjanben, P. Shashvatben from Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada and the regional elderly volunteer ladies remained present.

World Health Organization celebrates 1st December as the “World AIDS Day” in the entire world. People from every nook and corner of India come to Mumbai, the financial capital of our nation, to earn their livelihood. Keeping this point in mind, Yogi Mahila Kendra and Jay Charities had jointly organized a seminar to spread the awareness about AIDS among the ladies staying in Mumbai and an effort was made to bring/develop an awareness about the fight against AIDS by ting a red colored ribbon with the sign/symbol of AIDS on the shoulder of every woman entering the hall.

Minalben Dhruv, a Volunteer of Yogi Mahila Kendra, while informing the participants about AIDS through a presentation in the program, had also provided information as to how does a virus of H.I.V. infect while also discarding, based on the scientific facts, the misconceptions prevailing in the society about the AIDS.

After the presentation, Smt. Smitaben Patkar, a woman leader who was present in the shibir, advised the audience to be cautious about their health to avoid other common diseases and also the AIDS and said that, if we control and keep our food plus life-style proper, we can keep good health.

Dr. Krishnaben Sharma, while giving additional information about AIDS, said that, it is not a disease but, a state of weak/incapable body unable to fight/resist the infection of outside/external diseases due to which, a patient may sometimes die also. With the help of present/modern proper medicines and treatments, a patient can even live a long and normal life also.

At the end of the seminar, the regional sadhvi of Ghanshyam Pradesh said that, it is the earnest duty of all of us to spread widely in the society whatever information about AIDS we have received here and be alert/cautious against the same and the other diseases.

Every lady participating in this seminar organized by Yogi Mahila Kendra got the most important information about AIDS and vowed to spread the same in her own family and in the entire society.
