In maintaining good health, the proper food and life-style have been given much importance. By properly following the rules of science for foods and diets, we can keep our body fit and mind glad. Keeping this fact in mind, a lecture with practical demonstration on “Healthy Life Style” by Dr. Rasilaben Patel was organized by Yogi Mahila Kendra, Haridham, Sokhada on Sunday, the 1st Jan 2017 in the presence of regional sadhvi sisters P. Sahjikben and P. Subodhben at Yogidham, Rajkot.
Professionally a doctor in Homoeopathy, Naturopathy and Yoga, Dr. Rasilaben gave information about the basic principles of diet in the beginning of the seminar in which she said that, we should take our morning breakfast like a king, our afternoon lunch like a child and our evening dinner like a beggar meaning, a heavy food in the morning, a medium/normal food in the afternoon and very little & light food in the evening so that, it can be properly digested. She also emphasized on taking fresh fruits and vegetables available in the market according to the seasons and also on daily doing Yogasana, Pranayama and Meditation.
Then, by presenting a practical demonstration as to how to prepare mixed vegetable juice, she also gave the recipe of it in which the juice from palakbhaji, gourd, cucumber, beet, carrot and pine-apple was made. Talking about the specialty of this juice, she said that, we get fibers, vitamins, and the minerals required by our body from it.
Quoting a saying from Charak Sutra “Dharmarth Kam Mokshana...... Arogya Mul Uttam”, she said that, for getting the achievements of Dharm, Artha, Kama and Moksha, a healthy body is required and, making the necessary changed in our daily diets we can get these achievements with sound body.
At this stage, P. Sahajikben advised all the ladies present there to practice/implement all the suggestions made by Dr. Rasilaben in their daily life to maintain their good health.
In the end of the program, all the ladies enjoyed the taste of different juices.
